We are looking for a caring & compassionate individual with a passion for making a real difference to people's lives in the local community. As the receptionist, you are the first port of call & you represent the trust & our values. It is the responsibility of each receptionist to assist in the smooth running of the Hospital & its Reception area.
Duties will include:
- Switchboard
- Greeting & directing visitors to the site
- General reception duties
- Taking telephone enquiries and directing them to the relevant departments
- Ensuring all visitors are welcomed and signposted accordingly
- Meeting/clinic room bookings
- Incoming & outgoing post
- Reporting of estates/building issues
- General administration work
A professional and sensitive manner is required as the post holder will be liaising with patients daily, requiring courtesy, discretion, and confidentiality always, to project a positive, efficient, and friendly image to our patients and other professionals who may contact us either in person or via the telephone, always ensuring continuity of service.
The successful applicant should be welcoming, possess good communication, literacy, numeracy, & IT skills, as well as good organisational skills & be able to work accurately & methodically as part of a team or on your own. Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Microsoft Excel is essential. Previous experience of working within an NHS environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
