Are you looking for an exciting Band 5 role in an inpatient unit? Would you like to work in a forensic service to build a brighter and better future where you belong? If so, perhaps this will be the opportunity for you.

Southfield has a new female ward opening and provides specialist care and treatment for people with serious mental illness in a secure environment who are detained under the Mental Health Act. Service Users are aged between 18 - 65 years old, and may have either committed a criminal offence, or have challenging behaviour. We will have one male ward and one female ward split into two halves. The main purpose of the unit is to assist Service Users to understand and manage their own mental health, so that where possible, they can be reintegrated back into the community.

We would welcome applications from RMN or RNLD nurses who have a passion for working with multi-disciplinary teams as we pride ourselves on this. The person we are looking for should possess excellent team working skills, be patient focused and embracing of the Trust values.

We would also welcome applications from students or newly qualified nurses: you will be fully supported and encouraged to develop your clinical skills; you will also be invited to take part in the Trust's Preceptorship Programme that will provide you with the practical skills required of you in this role. Our LEAD team offer unparalleled training and development opportunities and CPD; all staff are encouraged to access these.
