A new opportunity has become available within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare (HIOWHC) Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy service. We are inviting a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Band 4 Speech and Language Therapy Assistant (SLTA), to support the management of eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties for residents in nursing and care homes, and some residents will also require support for their communication. The successful applicant will support training delivery to nursing and care home staff, as well as work with a package of established resources, to meet the needs of the local nursing and care home population.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- NVQ level 3 diploma or evidence of an equivalent qualification
- English and Maths O level, CSE, GCSE (A-C) or equivalent
- Experience of working with adults in a health or social care setting
- Proficient IT skills
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car
