Overview

We are seeking to recruit highly motivated and innovative practitioners to train as School Nurses and deliver great service to our children and families in Hampshire and Isle of Wight.

Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHNs) work at individual, community and population level in a preventative social model of health, designed to empower families to take control of and improve their own health and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a 2:2 honours degree. Applicants who have a Diploma in Education or a bachelor’s degree with a lower grade may be considered using the University of Surrey Advanced Standing process.
  • Must have an NMC registration before starting the course. A full driving licence including business car insurance and use of a vehicle is required.
  • This post is subject to Occupational Health Clearance and an enhanced DBS check.

Course and Timeline

Successful candidates need to commence this full-time course in October 2026 to be completed by October 2027 with University of Surrey.
