As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker (non-registrant) you will support the delivery of high-quality, timely assessments and interventions within the Access to Intervention Adult Mental Health service, working alongside registered practitioners.

The role includes assisting in identifying risk, need, and appropriate care pathways, as well as facilitating onward referrals and signposting to appropriate statutory, voluntary, and community services. The post holder will help ensure that service users receive accessible, coordinated support that promotes recovery and well being.

You will also hold a defined caseload, delivering brief interventions and psycho educational support sessions tailored to individual needs. This includes promoting self-management strategies, building resilience, and supporting service users to engage with ongoing care and support networks.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will maintain effective communication with colleagues and partner agencies while ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping in line with professional and organisational standards. The role requires a compassionate, recovery-focused approach, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, risk awareness, and delivering positive outcomes for service users.
