The Isle of Wight Talking Therapies Service are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals, to work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. This is a permanent, full-time position. The post holder will have a recognised PWP qualification. They will conduct initial mental health assessments and deliver evidence-based low intensity interventions to clients on the Isle of Wight. This may include cognitive re-structuring, graded exposure, behavioural experiments, guided self-help, computerised CBT, and information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be via video, telephone or face to face in a community clinic.
They will work with people with different cultural backgrounds, disabilities and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a real difference to the lives of local people, by offering fast access to evidence-based interventions supported by NICE guidelines. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a Talking Therapies model of delivery.
Please note before submitting an application this is not a remote working position as the successful candidate will be required to offer patient face to face appointments in clinic settings on the Isle of Wight and be available across the working week for other in-person focused activities relating to the role.
