The post holder will be working as a substantive Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist as part of a multidisciplinary team. This post involves mainly working in the community to support the multidisciplinary teams to deliver assessment and management services to older adults presenting with complex functional illnesses and complex memory difficulties.

As well as management of patients with dementia, the post holder will lead on developing and delivering clinical pathways for older adults with functional mental disorders in collaboration with the Lead Consultant Psychiatrist for older adults. The client group may include a small number of patients under the age of 65 years, who have Dementia or significant long-term physical illnesses or disabilities.
