The role is an excellent entry point into the NHS, offering hands‑on experience, full training and opportunities for career progression, including access to nursing and occupational therapy apprenticeships.

You’ll work closely with patients, their families and carers, playing a vital part in ensuring everyone who uses our services has a positive and supportive experience. As part of a multi‑disciplinary team, you’ll work alongside nurses, activity coordinators, social workers and occupational therapists, offering you a unique chance to learn from different specialties every day.

We aim to rehabilitate or re‑able people to return to their own homes, or where people are not able to return home to have undertaken appropriate assessment and liaise with relevant services to find an appropriate place for them.

You’ll bring compassion and commitment, and we’ll equip you with:

If you are new to Health Care we will place you on a HCSW induction programme to ensure that you are fully trained and supported to perform the role. The programme will last for up to 6 months and during this period of training you will be paid a salary of £25,272. On completion of your training period your salary will rise to £25,760.
