Following refurbishment of our Older Person's Mental Health (OPMH) inpatient wards, an exciting opportunity has arisen for Recovery Workers to join us at Gosport War Memorial Hospital. This role involves providing recovery for older people experiencing a wide range of acute mental health conditions who have been admitted to the inpatient unit for a period of assessment and treatment.

We are seeking candidates with life experience and who have a passion for working with older people. You need to be hardworking, honest and reliable to complement our established team. You will be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, who has a flexible approach and experience of working in mental health.

You will work within a compassionate team, led by a supportive Ward Manager and Therapy Lead. You will be required to work independently as well as part of the team. Part of this role will be to engage with our patients to work towards a successful outcome for their discharge.

We have full and part time duties available, providing a seven day a week service, working early shifts - 07:00 to 15:00 and late shifts - 13:00 to 21:00. The successful candidates will receive regular supervision and appraisal. A willingness to undertake training relevant to the post is essential.
