Overview
An exciting opportunity within Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Trust to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker.
You will be joining a forward thinking and innovative organisation committed to improving the quality of inpatient health services across Hampshire and rewarding the success of its staff.
We are looking for a motivated Healthcare Support Worker with excellent communication and clinical skills, who has the ability to work autonomously.
Responsibilities
- Support patient care as a Healthcare Support Worker with good communication and clinical skills, and the ability to work autonomously.
- Be proactive in learning the skills required to fulfil the role; induction and training will be provided where relevant.
- Transferable experience from Healthcare Assistant roles is recognised to apply to both mental and physical health settings.
Qualifications and Training
- No prior health care experience is required; a proactive attitude to learning is essential.
- New entrants will be placed on a Health Care Support Worker induction programme (up to 6 months). During training the salary is £25,272, rising to £25,760 on completion.
- If you have worked as a Healthcare Assistant, your skills transfer directly as an HCSW across mental and physical health.
