The Catering Team is looking for a Band 3 Catering Assistant to support the catering over the Tatchbury site. We are looking for someone who is committed to our services and able to help the team develop the food service across the site.
The role requires you to take responsibility for all the associated clerical and due diligence duties while on duty and have a good knowledge of working with food allergens and intolerances. You will be required to help maintain certain records including:
- Daily diligence documentation
- Delivery checks
- Temperature control
- Allergen records
- Cleaning schedules
The catering provision is mainly a fresh produced service, with the addition of some regen foods supplied from our CPU (central production unit). The role also involves face-to-face contact with the patients and staff on a daily basis and assisting in the service of the main meals. All training will be provided by the site and its team.
The vacancy is for 37.5 hours per week; the post is for 5 days over 7 days including weekends as rostered. You will be working alongside other staff on site but will be required to work alone for some of the time depending on the location you are working in. It is very important that you are able to be flexible as our services are patient-based and we need to provide that service to them 365 days a year.
