Wight Building Materials is a JV Company owned by Holcim and Eurovia and is the Island’s largest producer of construction materials. We need a General Operative to support the day-to-day running of a busy multi disciplined site.
About the Role:
- Operation of the fixed and mobile plant including loading shovel, dump truck and fork lift trucks.
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping keeping areas clean, tidy and hazard free.
Who we are looking for:
- Flexible, highly motivated candidates with drive and enthusiasm to work as part of a team.
- Normal operations are Monday to Friday day shifts and additional hours as required including occasional nights and weekends.
- As a General Operative, you will have a sound appreciation of Health & Safety, housekeeping and environmental regulations.
- You will also have excellent communication and team working skills, a customer focused approach and good organisational skills.
- Mobile plant licences would be an advantage but full training will be provided.
