We are looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineering Trainer Assessor to our highly motivated and creative team. This Trainer Assessor will be required to carry out group curriculum delivery, workplace assessments and prepare apprentices for end-point assessment. This role also includes carrying out reviews and setting action plans for apprentices, including SMART Targets and the delivery of wider skills topics. The role will also include developing the College's offer in this sector in conjunction with employer partners and awarding bodies.

Suitable candidates must have recognised industry qualifications/experience and ideally be confident in all aspects of workplace assessment using an electronic portfolio system. Assessment qualifications (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent) are desirable, however candidates without these will be considered and will need to work towards achievement as part of the role.

The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Employees will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list. To comply with legislation, you are required to obtain a DBS check for your role. We will be asking Protocol National Ltd/Esafeguarding Ltd to undertake this process on our behalf.
