Keep recruitment moving. Get the details right. Give candidates a great experience.
Recruitment can quickly stall when the small things are missed: an unchecked document, an interview invitation sent too late or a record that hasn’t been updated.
As our HR and Recruitment Coordinator, you’ll make sure those things don’t happen.
You’ll coordinate recruitment administration from vacancy approval through to appointment, working closely with our Talent Acquisition Partner, People Operations Partner, managers and candidates across the College.
You’ll prepare and publish adverts, arrange interviews, keep candidates informed and maintain accurate recruitment systems and records.
You’ll also coordinate pre-employment checks, including identity, right to work, references, qualifications and DBS checks, helping us maintain strong safer recruitment standards.
This would suit someone with experience in HR, recruitment, onboarding, compliance or administration within a busy or regulated environment.
You’ll be highly organised, comfortable managing several priorities and confident taking ownership when something is missing or delayed.
Knowledge of safer recruitment or Single Central Record requirements would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. We can support you to develop that knowledge.
You’ll be joining a developing HR team with opportunities to build experience across recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, employee relations and wider people services.
This is a permanent, full-time role based on site at Wigan & Leigh College.
Help us create a recruitment service that is organised, responsive, fair and safe.
