The Project Support Assistant will provide support to the Homelessness Solutions Team in offering advice and assistance to customers and stakeholders surrounding homeless prevention. You will act as the first point of contact for individuals who are threatened with or experiencing homelessness. You will provide support and assistance to ensure people quickly receive the best quality advice and information regarding their housing and support options. You will also support the Homelessness Solutions Officers, assisting in delivering the functions required under homeless legislation and focusing on helping to provide sustainable housing solutions to those in greatest need.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for individuals who are threatened with or experiencing homelessness.
  • Provide support to ensure quick access to high-quality housing and support information and advice.
  • Support the Homelessness Solutions Officers in delivering functions required under homeless legislation and in providing sustainable housing solutions to those in greatest need.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish relationships with customers and partner agencies.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Experience as the first point of contact for customers.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to adhere to data protection information sharing arrangements and local safeguarding policies at all times.

The Homeless Solutions Team works to support both preventing and relieving homelessness in the borough by working together with customers, partner agencies and accommodation providers. You will be part of an experienced team who place individuals and their families at the heart of what we want to achieve. You will be positive and open to doing things differently to meet the needs of the individuals that we support.

Salary Grade 4, £25,583 - £26,824 per annum. £13.26 - £13.90 per hour.
