Wigan Council is seeking to appoint a Pre-School Assistant and Wrap Around Care Assistant at The Shevington Federation, Shevington Vale Primary School.

Salary: Grade 3, £18,212 - £18,790 per annum (£12.85 - £13.26 per hour)

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year

Required for January 2026

The position is initially based at Shevington Vale Primary School but support may be required at Millbrook Primary School as necessary.

Working Hours:

  • Monday: 9.00am - 3.15pm
  • Tuesday: 8.45am - 3.15pm
  • Wednesday: 8.45am - 5.15pm
  • Thursday: 9.00am - 4.30pm
  • Friday: 9.00am - 3.15pm

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2 Early Years trained.
  • Experience within Early Years essential.
