Due to the retirement of the current postholder, we are looking for a new Executive Business Manager and Senior Leader who shares our vision and values to join our dedicated and nurturing Federation team.
We are seeking a professional, proactive and experienced Executive Business Manager from either the private or public sector to lead on the strategic and operational management of our school's finances, administration, human resources, technical infrastructure, premises and health & safety. Our Federation is comprised of Millbrook and Shevington Vale Primary Schools along with their Pre-School and Wrap Around Care provisions. Each business unit is financially independent. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of our vibrant Federation community and help shape the future for our children through the effective direction and leadership of our non-teaching functions.
The post is part time 37 hours, 7hrs 24mins per day over 5 days, term time 38 weeks per year, plus an additional 2 weeks. Salary is paid on a pro rata basis in line with Wigan Council's salary structure. To support a smooth transition, the current Federation Business Manager will provide a handover upon commencement of the role.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in financial and resource management, either in the private or public sector.
- An understanding of the key responsibilities of HR, premises, IT and health & safety management, marketing and bidding for funding.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong IT capability.
- The willingness to lead the office and premises staff across the Federation.
- The ability to divide their time between Millbrook and Shevington Vale School premises as required.
- The capacity to think strategically and work collaboratively with the Executive Headteacher, Leaders and Governors.
- A commitment to fully embrace school life, actively participating in activities and providing support throughout the school when needed.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and upholding the values of our Federation.
- A professional approach, working with integrity and discretion.
- An ability to drive is required.
