Salary: Grade 3, £16,754 - £17,286 per annum. £12.85 - £13.26 per hour

Required for February 2026

We are seeking a reliable and proactive part-time Caretaker to join our site team. The role is for 25 hours per week, working from 1:30pm until 6:30pm (flexibility is required to accommodate school events) and playing a key part in overseeing school operations, supporting cleaning staff and hirers of school facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out regular checks of the school buildings and grounds
  • Identifying issues and undertaking repairs and general maintenance where possible

The successful candidate will be practical, organised and able to work independently. They should have a strong awareness of health & safety, safeguarding and confidentiality and be flexible. This is an important front-line role, helping to ensure our school remains safe, is well-maintained and welcoming.

St. Peter’s Catholic High School is OFSTED rated ‘good’, oversubscribed and a successful 11-16 Catholic School.
