Overview

As a Scheme Assistant you will be part of a Team who are dedicated to ensuring that residents within the Extra Care and Sheltered Schemes are supported to live happy and active lives in a safe environment. You will encourage residents to remain independent, confident and build up resilience where necessary.

You will be expected to ensure that the cleanliness in our Schemes is managed and maintained to a high standard by carrying out cleaning duties. You will work closely alongside the scheme manager to identify and facilitate activities to keep residents active and healthy. You will provide low level assistance to residents enabling them to remain independent.

You will have a keen interest in working with older/Vulnerable people and the drive to make a difference. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have a positive approach towards the service. You will require a calm and professional manner, especially when handling emergency situations. The ideal candidate must have the ability to handle confidential information with tact and sensitivity. You will have a flexible approach to the role, be willing to working differently and be able to work closely alongside your colleagues, teams in the council and partner agencies to ensure the successful outcomes for residents are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning duties to ensure cleanliness in our Schemes is managed and maintained to a high standard.
