About us: Wifinity was founded in 2007 to solve a problem our armed forces were struggling with reliable connectivity. While living in barracks often in remote locations, ordering a landline and booking in an engineer just wasn't an option. The problem isn’t exclusive to the military either: students living in university accommodation, families in holiday resorts, or people in shared accommodation and retirement communities. Conventional home broadband doesn’t always work for them. Wifinity offers the same benefits as traditional broadband (super-fast speeds, WiFi, secure and private networks) but with none of the downsides. We offer Pay As You Go and flexible contracts so customers only pay for what they need without hefty penalties or long contract terms. We take the complexity out of connectivity.
The opportunity: This role requires extensive UK travel. The successful applicant can expect to be on the road 4 days a week, Monday to Friday, with autonomy to manage your calendar. The Communications and Engagement Representative will support Wifinity’s commercial aims by organising marketing and engagement events, promoting Wifinity’s services, driving user uptake, and acting as the primary on-site interface with end-users. These include launch events, industry expos, tradeshows, welcome stands, and Go-Live events.
Key areas of focus:
- Extensive (4 days a week) travelling to customer sites around the country
- Maintaining a strategic forward look of events and supporting new site launches and attending promotional events
- Promoting our services directly to and providing hands-on support and advice to end users
- Ensuring marketing material is in place / effective
- Coordinate calendar of events including drafting/updating visit schedules, Wifinity representatives, marketing material requirements
- Liaising with on-site management, customers’ staff, marketing/sales teams, and others involved in events/engagements
- Various research data or insight gathering tasks on markets or customers
- Collating customer and end-user insight and feedback
You may be required to carry out further responsibilities at the company’s discretion.
About you: You will be an enthusiastic person who is willing to get stuck in, pick up a range of practical tasks, and ensure they are completed on time and to budget. You will want to learn more about communications and/or marketing as a discipline and will embrace this opportunity to work in supporting the rest of the team to gain direct hands-on experience in communications/marketing yourself. You will have strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to multitask, and excellent sense of time management. You will be able to prioritise flexibly and work collaboratively within a busy team.
You’ll need to bring:
- Good customer service skills
