About us

Wifinity was founded in 2007 to solve a problem—our armed forces were struggling with reliable connectivity. While living in barracks, often in remote locations, ordering a landline and booking in an engineer just wasn’t an option. And that problem isn’t exclusive to the military, either. Students living in University accommodation, families visiting holiday resorts, or living in shared accommodation and retirement communities. Conventional home broadband doesn’t always work for them. Wifinity is different. We offer the same benefits as traditional broadband, such as super-fast speeds, WiFi, and secure and private networks, but none of the downsides. We even offer Pay As You Go and flexible contracts, so customers only pay for what they need without hefty penalties or long contract terms. We take the complexity out of connectivity.

The opportunity

The Build Supervisor will help us drive the completion and quality of our Wifi installations across the UK, ensuring that contractors work follows our high standards, and where required take a more proactive lead in completing installations. To ensure that each project is delivered as planned the Build Supervisor will oversee the cabling, CAB and electrical work elements of our build contractors to ensure that our network is presented on time for any project stakeholders. The task objectives are to support the Project Manager in ensuring project milestones are completed on time, within budget and to the high standards and quality set by the business or our clients.

  • Verifying at relevant project stages (‘sign-off’) that these standards have been achieved (or triggering remedial action required).
  • Ensure that Wifinity H&S requirements are being always adhered to.
  • Maintaining relationships between our clients and our build partners; handling, managing and highlighting areas of concern for feedback and future improvement mechanisms to be initiated.
  • Producing post installation audit reports, containing factual information that allows feedback to be relayed in a positive and constructive manner that drives improvement.
  • Awareness of the differing demographic in our various client bases, and being sensitive to the nuances that can arise from an installation as a result.
  • Complete Adhoc patching, minor remedial or support of go lives as directed by the project manager.
  • Work with other Build Supervisors to align standards and better ways of working.
  • Input recommendations for change into the company standards and specifications.
