Join us as a Product Manager for our Brick products at Wienerberger Ltd, which manufactures and provides wall, roof, and landscaping products for the construction sector. We offer innovative and sustainable solutions across the whole building envelope for new build and renovation projects.

About the Role

You will be delivering high-quality product portfolio management and leading initiatives that strengthen our brick range. You will provide clear insights, proactive product governance, and champion portfolio development while collaborating across multiple teams to shape a strong commercial future for our brick category. You will understand the market landscape, capture the Voice of the Customer (VOC), and be the expert for your designated product lines.

Duties include:

  • Manage full product lifecycle from ideation through to exit planning for designated product lines.
  • Define and deliver 5-year product portfolio strategy and 18-month tactical plans, aligned to Category Management governance and NPD processes.
  • Drive idea generation and innovation within rolling 5-year Category Plans.
  • Maintain accurate product data across all platforms, including PIM systems.
  • Develop and execute product pricing, promotion, distribution, and optimisation strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Monitor product performance, budgets, and stock levels; analyse data and recommend corrective actions with monthly reporting.
  • Support sale of non-standard and reject products through pricing and promotional activity.
  • Collaborate with Channel Marketing to define segmentation, propositions, target segments, forecasts, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Build commercially viable business cases and lead product launch planning and post-launch reviews.
  • Support customer-facing teams with product training, contribute to governance forums, and ensure continuous improvement.

You will be supporting our purpose by shaping a strong and competitive product portfolio that delivers for our customers and strengthens our market position. Your work will help ensure our ranges meet the needs of the industry today and tomorrow, supporting sustainable value and quality across the business.

The role will involve regular travel across the UK, including visiting our Cheadle Head Office and our UK factories, as well as occasional travel to our European factories as required. A company car/allowance is provided. Working hours: Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm.

About You

Essential

  • Experience as a Product Manager.
  • Experience working with manufactured products which have a technical aspect (e.g. construction materials, adhesives, building supplies, chemicals).
  • Good understanding of the routes to market for products in this sector.
  • Passion for innovation and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Project management skills.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to present information and influence decisions/change.
  • Market-sensing skills (including capturing VOC and interpreting market insights).
  • Analytical skills to identify key trends.
  • Teamwork.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.

Desirable

  • Commercial experience.
  • Managing products for the construction and building sector.
  • University level education or equivalent training/experience (Technical disciplines such as Engineering or Architecture are an advantage).
