About the Role

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer at our Goxhill site, you will be fully trained to work with our specialised tools and machinery to turn raw materials into products ready for use in the construction industry. You will become an expert on the machinery and support your colleagues to produce high quality results. You will be hands-on with the day to day operations of our manufacturing site; operate various factory machinery, equipment and forklifts whilst ensuring high levels of health and safety at all times. We will provide you with full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to safely and effectively work as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

  • Carry out essential maintenance working through a programme of PPM
  • Assist in developing the agility maintenance system
  • Attend breakdowns
  • Ensure machine safety standards are kept to the highest level and ensure critical spares are maintained
  • Install / maintain electrical & electro-mechanical plant machinery
  • Improve factory OEE through development and innovation of the production facility
  • Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system
  • Program Siemens / other PLC equipment
  • Use various types of testing equipment to locate and remedy faults
  • Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies
  • Actively contribute to the creation and review of RA and SSOW
  • Ensure adherence to Wienerberger's quality system & standards in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001

Hours of Work: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 6.00pm to 6.00am (nights) and Thursday, 6.00pm to 1.00am

About You

  • Preferably you will be apprentice trained, but with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Successful candidates will be asked to provide copies of their relevant qualifications / carry out competence assessments ONC/BTEC HNC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical engineering
  • 17th / 18th edition qualified
  • Sound knowledge of Siemens PLCs s7 TIA portal
  • Time served Electrician with experience of working in a manufacturing environment ideally heavy manufacturing (clay, refractory, quarrying, cement) or FMCG
  • Team player and strong communicator
  • Good exposure to health & safety standards
  • Excellent analytical & fault finding / problem solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of EHS
  • Passionate about improvement with knowledge of Lean manufacturing
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of electric motors / pneumatics
  • Sound mechanical knowledge and skills

About our Benefits
