Join us as a Stockyard Lead Operative at our Goxhill site in North Lincolnshire Wienerberger Ltd manufactures and provides wall, roof and landscaping products for the construction sector. About the role We will provide you with full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to safely and effectively work as a Stockyard lead Operator where you will cover for the team leaders holidays and assist the team leader to: Ensure that all site safety rules are understood and adhered to by all who are operating within the stockyard (employees, haulage partners and customers) Ensure that the Stockyard team have been fully trained to operate machinery (including FLTs and heat shrink guns) whilst maintaining training records Ensure that you and your team provide a helpful and efficient service to our haulage partners, customers and field sales Manage holiday requests of the Stockyard team, ensuring relevant cover is available, sickness, personal development reviews, training and disciplinaries Work closely with distribution teams to facilitate the timely picking, packing and wrapping of all products prior to collection Orchestrating the team structure ensuring that each team/member have an equal share of responsibilities Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping in accordance with our PIP targets, highlighting any concerns using the quality and hazard reporting process Encourage and develop a culture of continuous improvement within the team and contribute to improvements across the wider business. Continually challenge the status quo to drive further improvements This site produces roof tiles, supporting our manufacturing of high-quality building materials across the UK. This position is based at our Goxhill site, which is near to Barrow-Upon-Humber, Barton-Upon-Humber and East Halton, easily commutable from Scawby, Grimsby, Immingham, and Hessle. Due to the site location, it is accessible by personal vehicles only. Free parking is available. Hours of Work: 7.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday About You Previous experience working in a Stockyard Current / valid RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or CPCS forklift truck license with recent driving experience within the last six months Previous experience of managing and leading a team Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Good mathematical skills Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent communication skills verbal and written Must be organised, efficient and reliable Adaptable / flexible approach Must be literate as there is some paperwork involved An understanding of QA standards and the importance of consistent high quality in manufacturing Good general safety awareness About our Benefits Weekly paid Β£13.25 - Β£16.23 per (depending on experience) Overtime opportunities are available regularly to increase your earnings.
