About the role
We are looking for someone to join our team as either a Social Impact Manager or Social Impact Adviser (depending on experience). You will be a trusted expert who leads our social impact agenda across the UK and Ireland. You will work closely with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and our community partners to embed social value into our operations, our products, and our partnerships. Your role will ensure that our Social Impact activity delivers meaningful and measurable outcomes.
Duties also include:
- Review, refine and lead the implementation of our social impact programme across the UK and Ireland.
- Apply recognised social value methodologies to improve outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with customers to understand their social impact goals and establish supporting programmes.
- Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to amplify social impact through purchasing decisions.
- Identify community needs through data analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- Organise and support programmes and events aligned to sustainability objectives and legislation.
- Act as the lead contact for key charity and community partnerships.
- Support colleague engagement and understanding of social impact through training and events.
- Develop approaches to monetising social outcomes, including the use of Social Return on Investment methods.
This role plays a key part in helping us deliver our purpose of improving people's quality of life. Your work will strengthen our relationships with communities, customers, and partners, while supporting customers to meet their own social value commitments. You will also find opportunities to build your professional capability and collaborate across teams and disciplines.
The role is flexible in terms of location with the option to be office-based or hybrid, but requires regular travel across the UK and Ireland to our factories and our offices.

About you
Essential
- Educated to a degree level in a relevant discipline such as Environmental Science, Business, Economics, or other social science OR able to share a professional portfolio demonstrating relevant experience across employment, volunteering, and/or professional training courses.
- Able to demonstrate relevant experience in terms of Social Impact.
- Able to build relationships and strong rapport with community members, charity partners and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills demonstrated through experience presenting and writing.
- Self-motivated, organised and reliable individual.
- A desire to develop yourself and this role within an organisation whose purpose is to improve people's quality of life.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility for regular travel.
Desirable
- Social Value Practitioner Level 1 (Social Value UK), ISEP Practitioner level membership and/or experience conducting social value impact assessments using the Social Return on Investment (SROI) or related metrics.
- Strong project management skills, including financial management.
- Extensive experience working with communities, non-profit organisations, and local government.
- MSc level qualification in a relevant discipline.
About our Benefits
- Adviser level - Salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience) and up to 6% annual bonus.
- Manager level - Salary up to £55,000 (depending on experience), up to 8% annual bonus & Private Medical Insurance (single policy cover).
