Join us as an Office Administrator at our Todhills site in Bishop Auckland! Wienerberger Ltd manufactures and provides wall, roof and landscaping products for the construction sector. We offer innovative and sustainable solutions across the whole building envelope for new build, renovation projects and across the building industry.

About the Role

Reporting to the Office Manager you will provide a confidential, timely, accurate and efficient administrative support service to aid the smooth day to day running of the business, ensuring that workload and commitments are planned and managed. As Office Administrator you will:

  • Assist the office manager to complete administration despatch duties
  • Cover wages ensuring a high level of accuracy for Office Manager
  • Deliver an effective administration service to the factory management team
  • Efficiently and professionally deal with visitors, ensuring they have signed in and been inducted
  • Diary management / room booking / providing refreshments
  • Ordering & receiving of production materials
  • Purchase order creation and placement, goods receipting, dealing with invoice queries, weekly outstanding jobs list and general commands using SAP
  • Data inputting using various spreadsheets
  • Provide cover in the Office Manager's absence
  • Provide administrative support to the site management team regarding any office / factory related issues
  • Produce a range of Excel, Word and PowerPoint documents as and when required
  • Communicate with both external and internal clients demonstrating professionalism
  • Create and edit a variety of documents where necessary
  • Transfer purchase orders into the relevant directory and forward to the suppliers
  • Booking in new materials for all departments and assist QA with month-end administration in relation to raw materials
  • General administration duties to enable the smooth running of Plant Goods in and goods out window
  • Ensuring training files and related documentation are audit ready at all times
  • Actively look for areas that you may be able to provide help and support in the form of administration

This site produces bricks, supporting our manufacturing of high-quality building materials across the UK. This position is based at our Todhills site, which is near to Bishop Auckland, Crook, Willington, and Spennymoor, easily commutable from Durham, Middlesbrough, and Darlington.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm

Skills & Experience

  • Good GCSE education
  • Microsoft Office in particular Excel and Word
  • IT Skills and comfortable with portals and systems platforms
  • Professional and courteous
  • Good customer service
  • Proactive and organised approach with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work to high levels of accuracy with a high level of attention to detail
  • Desirable SAP experience
  • Tensor CHRIS 21 Jaggaer or other E-Procurement systems
  • Experience in Despatch
  • Experience in a fast-paced office environment
