Join us as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Wienerberger Ltd manufactures and provides wall, roof and landscaping products for the construction sector. We offer innovative and sustainable solutions across the whole building envelope for new build, renovation projects and across the building industry.
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be a trusted and skilled member of the site team, supporting safe, reliable, and high-quality manufacturing through pro-active maintenance and fault finding. You will work closely with colleagues to keep equipment running efficiently, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement across the factory.
- Carry out essential maintenance through a planned preventative maintenance programme
- Attend mechanical and electrical breakdowns to restore production safely and efficiently
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electro-mechanical plant machinery
- Use testing equipment to locate, diagnose, and remedy faults
- Program and support Siemens and other PLC systems
- Ensure machine safety standards are met and critical spares are maintained
- Contribute to risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and standards in line with BS EN ISO 9001
Through this role, you will help protect the safety of our people, improve factory performance, and support the consistent supply of high-quality building materials to our customers. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills, share knowledge with experienced colleagues, and collaborate across teams as part of a supportive manufacturing environment.
The Goxhill site produces roof tiles, supporting our manufacturing of high-quality building materials across the UK. Free parking is available.
Working hours: 6.00am to 6.00pm on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
Requirements:
- Apprenticeship-trained background
- Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent
- Maintenance and diagnostics of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control systems in a multi-skilled environment
- Manufacturing experience within Heavy industry, chemical, food or pharmaceutical
- Maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
- Maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment including conveyors, gearboxes, chains, sprockets
- Pneumatic & hydraulic systems maintenance and fault finding
- MMA & MIG welding
- Basic fabrication
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
- ONC, BTEC, or HNC qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Experience within heavy manufacturing or FMCG environments
- Knowledge of Siemens PLC systems including S7 and TIA Portal
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
Weekly paid. Average annual salary is £44,640 (inclusive of allowances and bonuses). Overtime is available to increase earning potential.
