About the Role

As an Accounts Receivable Team Leader, you will be leading and supervising our AR team to ensure that we maintain the integrity of our AR control account.

You will be a line manager for our Credit Controllers and Sales Ledger Administrators

This will involve coaching and mentoring, training, optimising the team productivity, authorisation/monitoring of holidays, absence/sickness monitoring, and conducting any other duties in line with our HR policies and performance management process.

Duties include:

  • Supervising the resolution of invoice queries, daily recording of cash receipts, and postings to the Sales Ledger
  • Drive our cash collection efforts to meet debtor day targets
  • Ensure all transactions are completed in line with the month end timetable and statements issued to customers on a timely basis
  • Complete month end reports for submission to Senior Managers
  • Ensure orders exceeding credit limits are subject to the required approval process
  • Obtain information and submitqueries to the credit risk department to assess the risk of new account applications

You will be based in a location with easy commuting to either of our sites in Sandtoft (Doncaster) or Sale (Greater Manchester). This is an office-based role but we do offer hybrid working options (an estimated 2 days from home per week, after training).

Hours of Work:Full-time. 35 hours a week. Monday to Friday. 8.30am to 4.30pm.

We can offer some flexibility on the working hours to accommodate 8am to 4pm or 9 to 5, if those hours are more suitable for your need.

About You

You will have/be

  • Experience of line management in an accounting environment
  • Ability to motivate others and drive performance
  • Experience working in a Credit Control/Sales Ledger environment
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Confidence working with a range of internal stakeholders from different departments
  • Experience successfully chasing customers for overdue debtand working to tight deadlines
  • Microsoft Outlook,Excel and Word experience
  • Experience using accounting software (ideally SAP)

Desirable

  • Accounting / Credit Control related qualification such as AAT / ICM or equivalent
