Come and join us on a part time basis as a Quality Assurance Technician at our Sandown site in Aldridge! Wienerberger Ltd manufactures and provides wall, roof and landscaping products for the construction sector. We offer innovative and sustainable solutions across the whole building envelope for new build, renovation projects and across the building industry.

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Technician at our Sandown site, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high standard products with a keen focus on health, safety and quality. Duties will include:

  • Assisting the Process Manager with their responsibilities and duties under the terms of BS EN ISO 90001 Quality Assurance and BS EN ISO 14001, taking a forward‐thinking approach to 5S, continuous improvements and the PCS system.
  • Promote health and safety within your work environment.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform tests and inspections to ensure we maintain high quality standards. This includes moisture contents, particle size analysis, sampling and dispatch for external testing, visual and physical checks of the extruded, dried and fired products and compressive strength testing.
  • Make sure all quality checks are recorded and monitored closely.
  • Be able to recognise when the quality is falling below standards and address the issue immediately.

Hours of Work: 10.00am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday (part time)
