Come and join us as a Specification Manager covering our South territory (including London). Part of Wienerberger UK & Ireland, you’ll be joining Building Product Design, a leader in the fields of roofing ventilation, construction membranes, building ventilation, and specialised building products.
About The Role
As a Specification Manager you will be working with architects, specifiers, and façade contractors engaged in high rise developments in our Southern territory (which includes central and Greater London). This role involves representing our construction products range, which includes vapour permeable wall membranes, vapour control layers and air barriers, together with our range of sealing tapes and adhesives. You will deliver CPDs and technical presentations to these potential customers, developing a close relationship with our in‑house technical department who will support with the design guidance and testing. You will also be involved in new product development conversations with our in‑house team to help grow our product portfolio. This is a field‑based role with a company car or allowance provided.
Duties Include
- Take ownership for your territory: achieve specifications, sales, and margin targets through appointments with key clients.
- Build the pipeline: identify opportunities with high‑rise developers, architects, specifiers, and façade contractors.
- Explore the solution - develop specifications and define project needs.
- Grow relationships: manage key projects, new business development and grow our existing relationships to help us achieve our goals.
About You
You will be an accomplished sales professional with experience in a field‑based role, managing a territory in a B2B environment, with specification experience in the construction sector (particularly with high‑rise builders). You will have a proven track record of both specification and new business development, alongside promoting construction product solutions to the sector.
You Will Also Have
- Experience achieving sales targets and margin targets.
- Excellent levels of customer delivery.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal).
- Enthusiasm and drive.
- Experience managing your own time/diary.
- Good problem‑solving skills (able to explore alternative methods to resolve issues).
- Strong knowledge of specification sales.
- Understanding of project/client management systems in the sector.
- You will also have a full driving licence and flexibility to travel across the territory.
