About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Category Management team in this national role.
This position will focus on our renewable energy products, and you will have responsibility for the renewable product portfolios within our roofing category. You’ll also work closely with external partners, global functions, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Supply, Sustainability and Technical to provide a clear vision around the development and implementation of the portfolio plans.
You will also use your analysis of our trading performance to make recommendations and to take actions to improve performance, alongside the ongoing development and implementation of our market penetration strategy for Renewable products.
Duties also include:
- utilise your product knowledge and expertise to act as first level support to your colleagues
- ensure the accuracy of product data across all company platforms
- be responsible for the life cycle management for designated product lines
- develop and deliver a programme of new products and services and the introduction of new products into the marketplace
- define and execute a rolling 2-year Product Portfolio Plan which will deliver the Annual Sales Budget
- adhere to the annual Category Management governance model
- support the Category Manager for Roofing to define and execute the business thinking, idea generation and innovation via rolling 5-year Category Plans
- work closely with Group Product Managers to ensure alignment, synergies and best practice sharing
Regular travel is expected across the UK, particularly to our site in Doncaster, and because of this a company car/allowance is provided.
We do offer hybrid working arrangements, with the current expectation being that you will typically work from a Wienerberger office or factory 3 days per week, with 2 days working from home.
With that said, each week can be different depending on business needs and project work, therefore you will be comfortable with managing your diary appropriately to meet business demands, which could involve overnight stays.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm
About You
You will be an established Product Manager with experience working within a Category Management team. You’ll have experience managing products related to the renewables sector (e.g. Solar PV, Air source, ESS battery storage).
Naturally innovative, you’ll have an entrepreneurial mindset, passionate about developing products and spotting opportunities in the market.
You’ll also have/be
- Relevant Industry experience (i.e. product management role within construction/building supplies industry)
- Ability to influence internal stakeholders
- Market sensing skills – ability to capture the VOC and translate it into value-adding product initiatives
- Analytical skills – ability to identify key trends from market data
- Effective Team-work player
- Full UK driving license and flexibility for regular travel across the region
