About The Role As Laboratory Technician you will assist in the smooth running of the Wienerberger Laboratory; carryingout laboratory testing of raw materials and products on a company-wide basis. This includes testing of raw materials, clay, and concrete construction products to ensure compliance with specification and investigating any abnormalities. You will also assist with research and development projects to help drive innovation throughout the business. Prior experience of working in a Laboratory isnt essential, however a can-do attitude with an enthusiasm to learn and the willingness to carry out any training that Wienerberger deems necessary are central to the recruitment for this role. Duties Will Include Liaising with staff in the development of raw material testing and identification of problem areas requiring project work Maintaining clear and accurate records and ensure appropriate and timely communication of results Investigation of raw material sourcing opportunities (including MARSS) and carry out feasibility testing as appropriate, including external site visits and evaluation as necessary Assisting with workplace monitoring in line with the company\'s Environmental management programme Ensuring consistency of sampling and testing as appropriate to the requisite standards as a minimum, but also in order to achieve improvements to both products and systems Assist with the newly implemented concrete testing at Central Laboratory.
