About the role

As a MRP Controller you will be responsible for helping to keep our production and inventory plans aligned with customer demand.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across sales, production and supply chain, as well as using SAP data and planning tools to support service levels, stock availability and efficient production scheduling.

You’ll play an important role in ensuring materials and products are available at the right time, helping us respond to changing market demand with agility and efficiency.

Duties also include

  • Maintain agreed stock levels of products
  • Analyse stock data and identify trends using SAP
  • Maintain effective links between Sales and Production teams
  • Schedule factory product changes with Production Managers
  • Provide advice on sales capacity and stock availability
  • Oversee and compile production schedules
  • Review safety stock and MRP settings and recommend changes
  • Prepare weekly reports covering issues, planning and availability
  • Manage back orders to support Customer Support and Distribution teams
  • Lead weekly production meetings with a structured agenda

This role helps us deliver excellent customer service by ensuring products are available when needed and production plans remain effective.

Your work will support our customers, our manufacturing teams and our wider business objectives.

This role is based at our Sandtoft site which is accessible from Doncaster, Scunthorpe and surrounding areas, with convenient road links across the region.

Occasional travel to other manufacturing sites may be required.

Mon to Fri. 8am to 5pm.

About you

Essential

  • Experience of working in a role involving strong business co-ordination in an office or production environment.
  • Good experience with using business systems (such as CRM systems, financial systems, stock systems) and tools (such as Office, Word, Excel and Access).
  • Committed to delivering a high standard of supply chain support
  • Keen to develop skills and experience
  • Able to build strong working relationships across the business
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Clear and concise communication skills
