About the Role
- Lead and motivate a small team through a practical and hands-on approach.
- Set priorities to maximise production efficiency and promote working practices that develop a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and open communication.
- Identify and suggest improvements to the manufacturing and quality process to ensure agreed cost-efficient production schedules.
- Assist with the installation of new plant equipment.
- Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies.
- Carry out factory inspections, giving advice and support to production operatives and other personnel.
- Monitor quality from raw material to finished goods.
- Ensure all new starters are efficiently inducted and trained.
Hours of Work: till , Monday - Friday (flexibility is required)
About You
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a safety-first culture is essential.
- At least a year’s leadership experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role or similar.
- Experience of working in a high production environment, primarily in the automotive, food or FMCG related industries.
- Good exposure to health & safety standards, continuous improvement methods and environmental best practice.
- IT skills – working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Strong organisational & planning abilities.
