Come and join us as a Production Team Leader at our Broomfleet site in Gilberdyke!
As a Production Team Leader at our Broomfleet site, you will be fully trained to work with our specialised tools and machinery which we use to produce bricks ready for use in the construction industry. You will manage the department and help the team to achieve their production, quality and safety targets. You will also line manage a number of Operators, providing them with technical expertise, supporting their personal development and any areas of improvement.
Duties
- To plan and manage the team on a daily basis
- Addressing/reporting Health and Safety issues
- Ensure Health and Safety standards are achieved and that P.P.E. is used where needed
- Monitor quality in all areas of production
- Monitor process control reports
- Plan to ensure all materials and equipment needed is available to run the shift for production
- Ensure that all paperwork is correctly filled in
- Work closely with the maintenance department
- Work with shift leadership and plant management on all aspects of production
- Assist in the implementation of quality and environmental management
- Act as the first point of contact for your team members sickness or absence
Hours of Work
7.00am to 7.00pm (two days) and 7.00pm to 7.00am (two nights) on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
About You
- Experience working as a Production Operative in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with supervision/line management or have transferable skills to offer, such as:
- Coaching
- Addressing performance issues
- Motivating others
- Managing change
- Conflict resolution
- Administration skills
- Resource planning and organisation
- Demonstratable best practice in relation to health & safety standards
- Adaptable to change
- Confidence and a positive attitude
