Join us as a Business Development Manager covering our Northern territory (North West & North East) with responsibility for managing and developing our distribution partners and factors customer base. You will build trusted relationships, support high-quality commercial activity, and contribute to strong customer service across the region.
Duties include:
- Deliver annual regional budgets in line with company goals
- Grow market share and build long term commercial partnerships
- Develop relationships with distributors, merchants, architects, contractors and internal teams
- Manage brick sales across the territory and promote the brand across the supply chain
- Support and develop supply chain agreements with end users and partners
- Use CRM and Business Intelligence tools to manage activity, projects and quotations
- Leverage data insights to identify new opportunities
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, technical and operations teams
- Drive cross selling opportunities and support housing sector growth
- Conduct site visits and additional duties to support delivery
This role helps us strengthen our presence in the region and ensures customers receive consistent service and support. There are opportunities for career development and collaboration across our teams. This role involves daily travel across the region.
About you
Essential:
- Strong commercial/sales experience in the construction or building materials sector
- Experience managing and developing commercial relationships with distributors, merchants and contractors
- Proven capability to grow market share and drive partnerships
- Knowledge of the housing sector and National House Builders
- Experience driving cross selling initiatives
- Willingness to conduct site visits
- Driving licence and flexibility to travel regularly across the territory
- Confidence representing the company and the brands at events or client meetings
- Excellent account management skills
- Confident in CRM and BI tools
- Ability to analyse data and identify opportunities
- Collaborative approach with internal teams
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to deliver commercial targets and budgets
- Positive attitude to work
Desirable:
- Experience in supply chain agreement management
