About the role

As Head of Health & Safety (UK & Ireland) you will be leading the health and safety strategy across our UK and Ireland operations.

You will work closely with senior leaders, site teams and external stakeholders to build a strong safety culture, maintain high standards, and support operational excellence across the business.

Duties include

  • Champion and embed a high-performance safety culture across UK and Ireland operations
  • Lead the Health & Safety function (including line management responsibilities)
  • Provide strategic direction on health and safety policies, procedures and standards
  • Oversee audit and inspection programmes across operational sites
  • Manage relationships with regulatory and enforcement agencies
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, HR and Procurement teams
  • Oversee health and safety competence and training frameworks

This role supports safer workplaces and consistent standards across our sites. There are opportunities for career development and collaboration across the business.

The role requires travel across the UK and Ireland region and occasional travel to Vienna. A company car/allowance is provided.

This is a regional role and therefore your base of operations can be flexible, however, you will be required to live within a reasonable commuting distance of our factories and offices in the UK.

Applications are welcomed from individuals living in the North West, Yorkshire, West Midlands and East Midlands.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday.

About you

Essential

  • Strong experience in a multi-site health and safety leadership role
  • Level 6 Health & Safety qualification or equivalent
  • Strong experience leading, hiring, coaching and developing teams.
  • ISO auditor qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Full driving license and flexibility to travel across the region regularly.
