Widener University’s Department of Chemistry is currently seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach Chemistry courses. Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 to 3 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day. Adjunct faculty are expected to teach a specified course(s); prepare course materials, be available to meet with students outside of regularly scheduled class time, and provide support and guidance to students.

Required qualifications include a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or closely related majors. Preference will be given to candidates who have an ABD or PhD in Chemistry or closely related majors, previous teaching experience, and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling. This is a pooled position from which adjunct(s) will be hired. As openings occur, applicants will be hired from this pool.
