Widener University’s College of Arts & Sciences is currently seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach Chemistry. Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day and also in the evening.

Adjunct faculty are expected to:

  • Teach a specified course(s);
  • Prepare course materials;
  • Provide support and guidance to students.

Required qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or closely related majors. Preference will be given to candidates who have an ABD or PhD in Chemistry or closely related majors, previous teaching experience and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.

Complete applications are to include a cover letter, C.V. and contact information for three professional references. This is a pooled position from which Adjunct will be hired. This pooled position will serve as an electronic file and replace paper CV’s. As openings occur, applicants will be hired from this pool.
