Our client is a global leading high tech company with over 6,500 employees across 20+ offices. They are fast growing and have developed some of the very well-known platforms/apps that attract millions of daily active users, utilising cutting edge AR and VR technologies, 3D printing, etc.

They are looking for a purchasing coordinator to join their Abingdon team. You will support the procurement needs of the UK lab, manufacturing and R&D teams:

  • Being the right hand man to the UK supply chain manager and help with procurement lifecycle, acting as a key local resource to work with agencies, suppliers and partners.
  • Coordinate NDA, Compliance Reviews and supplier onboarding processes with relevant end users and internal teams.
  • Request RFQs from qualified suppliers.
  • Review submitted purchase requests for accuracy and queue for action.
  • Place approved online, email and phone orders.
  • Monitor open order report and follow up with suppliers for status, updating the system with accurate information.
  • Assist as needed with administrative activities in support of Supply Chain Management.

What we’re looking for:

  • 1+ years of experience with corporate purchasing. At least some knowledge of purchase requisition and purchase order process and ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Coupa, or Oracle.
  • Any industry knowledge of IT or hardware or IT accessories, optical devices, electronic components or manufacturing components is a big plus.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, strong communication skills and multitasking abilities.

Initially full time contract till the end of 2025 with the possibility to extend or become permanent afterwards. Inside IR35 contract offering £180 to £200 per day depending on experience (which works out to £2700 to £3000 per month AFTER TAX). 4 days onsite in Abingdon/Milton (OX 14) and 1 day work from home. Monday to Friday, 9:00-18:00 with a 1 hour lunch break.
