Overview
Widem UK Ltd was founded in 2007 and is part of an international logistics group that is currently expanding rapidly. We employ more than 450 people worldwide, including around 15 in the UK. The group consists of several domestic and foreign companies with headquarters in Menen, Belgium.
Together with our operations manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and planning our European trailer groupage / crossdock services. A broad range of tasks covering the following areas:
- Arranging collection and deliveries from our existing customers
- Liaising with our foreign partners
- Planning trailer loads
- Management of subcontractors
You will report directly to the UK managing director.
Targeted training
- You will have at least 5-year’s experience working in European road freight, groupage and full loads services in a management capacity and have excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of Turkey and Eastern Europe markets would be an advantage
- An understanding of UK customs requirements is essential
- The ability to speak a second language would be an advantage but not imperative
- You have a thorough knowledge of MS Office
- Quality and accuracy are of utmost importance to you, you work quickly and are flexible
- You are punctual, well organized, and communicative
