Responsibilities
- Carry out the statutory duty of care for pupils with special educational needs
- Lead the school's SEN strategy and work closely with teachers, parents and external agencies
- Provide classroom teaching, where required, focusing on inclusive practices
- Support teacher professional development in inclusive education
- Work with the Unity Schools Partnership to share best practice and resources
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong commitment to continuing professional development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, child-centred and reliable
- Experience in SEN or inclusive teaching, including current or former SENCO role
- Knowledge of national curriculum and inclusive practices
- Experience working with multi-agency support and partnership working
