The team Store Operations is the engine room of Wickes. Our mission is simple: give our store colleagues the tools, tech, and info they need to be successful. Whether it's testing a new process or streamlining how we communicate, we’re always looking for a better way to do things. You’ll be right in the thick of it, organising support materials and helping us analyse feedback to make sure our stores run like clockwork. You’ll learn:
- How small changes in a process can lead to a boost in store performance.
- The vital role that planning and clear communication play in a national retail business.
- How we support thousands of colleagues to ensure every customer visit is great.
What you’ll do:
- Sit in on team meetings to discuss what is happening in our stores operationally and promotionally, to explore how we can support.
- Explore how range reviews are implemented in our stores from start to finish and explore how we can improve this process.
- Go on store visits to see how operations are implemented on the ground.
- Explore different business areas such as Trading, Costs, and IT to see how we support our stores.
