Are you a Senior Finance Manager with a background in FP&A looking for an opportunity where you can drive strategic impact in a high profile finance role at Wickes? If so, this could be the role for you! We are recruiting for someone to join us on a 15 month FTC.

Role Purpose: This is a high-profile finance role in the FP&A team, and you will play an integral part in delivering high-quality reporting, performance analysis, and forecasting to the Wickes CFO, Exec, and PLC Board through the ownership of cash flow forecasting and analysis. The role includes stakeholder management and business partnering for Wickes Solar and the Support Centre, ensuring the team effectively partners with the business and acting as the main contact for both of these areas.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Cash Flow Ownership: You will create, drive, and own our cash flow forecasting and reporting. You’ll be the expert who ensures we have an accurate picture of our cash position, engaging stakeholders across the business and helping to deliver exceptional papers for the Executive and PLC Board.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: You’ll be the go-to finance contact for the Support Centre and Wickes Solar. This is about more than just month‑end reporting; you’ll provide commercial insight, robust challenge, and strategic guidance to help these areas manage costs and support growth.
  • Financial Insight: You’ll support the Investor Relations Director and CFO by providing financial data and analysis for investor presentations, results statements, and fact‑packs.
  • Leadership: You will lead and mentor one analyst, fostering a supportive environment while ensuring the team consistently hits deadlines and high standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Accountant: You will be ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • FP&A Expertise: You have experience in cash flow modelling and a deep understanding of P&L and balance sheets.
  • Great Communicator: You can "story tell" with data. You’re comfortable building relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, and you have the ability to challenge and influence effectively.
  • Calm & Organised: You thrive in a fast‑paced environment, can juggle competing priorities, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
  • Inspirational Leader: You bring energy, enthusiasm, and passion to the team, and you’re always looking for ways to improve our processes and efficiencies.

What can we offer you? You’ll be supported with fantastic learning and development and have the opportunity to grow and develop your career with us. We also have an early careers network to support you if you’re in your first few years of your career. We’ll also equip you with a benefits package that includes:

  • Competitive bonus
  • Save-as-you-earn scheme
  • Private Medical and Life Assurance
  • Enhanced contributory pension scheme
  • Colleague discount
  • Discount platform including savings and cash back at numerous retailers, savings on gym membership, cycle to work scheme
