With exciting growth plans underway, we have an amazing opportunity for an Assistant Manager Designate to join our business and become a Store Manager of the future. You will work across a number of stores that are within a commutable distance of your home. Stores in the region include Cricklewood, Ruislip, Hays, Hanger Lane, Hanworth, Bracknell, High Wycombe, Slough, Reading, Ealing, Winnersh, Hendon and Staines.

There will be regular travel involved therefore, the successful candidate must have a full and valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

The Role

An Assistant Manager is the go-to person in the store on shift. You will be there to help inspire your colleagues to deliver the best customer experience in the business and help overcome any issues you come across. Due to the service that Wickes provides, you would be required to help multiple functions across the store. This could mean helping someone plan their dream bathroom one minute and then having to nip outside to help take in the delivery the next, all whilst ensuring everyone is kept safe.

We are looking for transferable skills, which include inspirational leadership, being able to spot talent, coach and develop a team to the highest standards whilst delivering great customer service. You'll go above and beyond for our Retail and Trade customers, ensuring each and every customer has a great shopping experience and we are delivering sales through service. You'll also be big on what matters and ensuring Health and Safety is at the forefront of everything we do. A can-do spirit and winning mentality is a must.
