Are you interested in learning a new profession, gaining new skills and experience to launch your career with the UK’s leading home improvement retailer?

We’re looking to recruit new colleagues onto our established 18 month programme. The apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity within the trade sector, tapping into life and trade skills with mentoring support and, on completion, a nationally recognised qualification (Level 2 Fitted Interiors)

Responsibilities

During your apprenticeship, you will work alongside a Wickes Approved Installer and will be installing Wickes kitchens into our customers’ homes. This gives you a fantastic opportunity to experience the working environment and put all of your learning into practice.

The formal training element of your apprenticeship will be delivered by our approved training provider WEBS Training Ltd and is focused on the technical aspects of fitting a kitchen, behaviour, customer services and setting up your own business.

Requirements

  • Excellent practical skills and an awareness of health and safety
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude with good problem solving skills and ability to complete work to deadlines
  • Great communication skills and customer focus

As an apprentice you will be required to travel to customer\’s homes, so it will be necessary for you to hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle to travel to work.

This role is a fixed term contract lasting 18 months. Salary will increase after 12 months in line with National Living Wage.
