New Opportunities for 2025 to join our highly successful Kitchen Installations apprenticeship programme
Are you interested in learning a new profession, gaining new skills and experience to launch your career with the UK’s leading home improvement retailer?
We’re looking to recruit new colleagues onto our established 18 month programme. The apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity within the trade sector, tapping into life and trade skills with mentoring support and, on completion, a nationally recognised qualification (Level 2 Fitted Interiors)
Wickes work with over 2000 kitchen installers across the UK, and the apprenticeship programme can open doors to many great careers in the industry. Opportunities for people in a sector that can be flexible around them and deliver the potential to go on to set up their own business.
During your apprenticeship, you will work alongside a Wickes Approved Installer and will be installing Wickes kitchens into our customers’ homes. This gives you a fantastic opportunity to experience the working environment and put all of your learning into practice.
The formal training element of your apprenticeship will be delivered by our approved training provider WEBS Training Ltd and is focused on the technical aspects of fitting a kitchen, behaviour, customer services and setting up your own business. WEBS are a well established independent training provider serving the furniture manufacturing sector for more than 50 years.
Throughout your programme you will have a personal training officer, as well as support from your Line Manager, who can help you to plan your exciting future following your apprenticeship.
To be part of this phenomenal opportunity we ask you to bring a genuine interest in a trade focused career, the energy to thrive in an environment where no day is the same.
Alongside this you will need some other tools for the job:
  • Excellent practical skills and an awareness of health and safety
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude with good problem solving skills and ability to complete work to deadlines
  • Great communication skills and customer focus
As an apprentice you will be required to travel to customer\'s homes, so it will be necessary for you to hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle to travel to work.
What can we offer you?
There are a lot of different career paths out there. So, why this one?
With more than 230 stores nationwide, our kitchen and bathroom showroom has a wide collection of ranges and we offer a complete design and installation service. We have been offering a fully installed service to our kitchen and bathroom customers for over ten years.
We are currently the only kitchen and bathroom retailer to offer this complete service, giving us –

quality. Customers come to us because they trust us and the standard of our work.
Wickes’ culture is our best kept secret; it’s collaborative, down to earth, fun and inclusive, wherepeople feel part of a winning team. All our colleagues come from different backgrounds, but whatwe all have in common is a determination to succeed and a passion for being the best we can be.
