We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated HGV class 1 Lead Risk Assessor to join our transport team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments of store yards, and evaluating their processes. You will play a crucial part in helping businesses identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and achieve their health and safety goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct on-site store assessments.
- A thorough understanding of H&S responsibilities.
- Identify non-conformities, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback and guidance to store management and teams.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports, outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans.
- Verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough assessment records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance assessment methodologies and store support.
- Support other SME driver assessors.
Required Skills And Experience
- Experience as a lead risk assessor within transport.
- Class 1 licence and experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assessments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in report writing and presentation skills.
- Good PC skills including Google.
- A relevant professional qualification in the related field.
- Willingness to travel as required for on-site assessments.
