Wickes is a digitally led, service-enabled business currently undergoing extensive digital transformation. We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Digital Content and Assets Manager to join our team as maternity cover for 12 months to help support this journey.
You’ll be responsible for developing the strategic content plan to deliver the defined business KPIs. Working with our agency partner and internal stakeholders, you will:
- Concept, create, improve and maintain content
- Be responsible for overseeing all digital content initiatives to ensure brand consistency and a positive customer experience
- Share content across the business to raise brand awareness and drive engagement, whilst monitoring defined metrics to support performance
- Reporting on performance and analytics of content and pages
- Manage content distribution to the wider marketing and digital team
- Performing/overseeing audits on existing digital content to ensure it aligns with brand guidelines for tone of voice and optimisation
- Collaborating with the Digital Design team, CRM team and social team to plan and develop channel-applicable content, style and layout
- Work closely with the CRM team to identify, develop, track and surface ongoing content that can support the broader Mission Motivation Engine (MME) CRM strategy
- Monitoring and researching competitors to identify content gaps
- Ensuring high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency
- Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies
- Working very closely with the SEO agency and team to ensure all content follows SEO best practices
- Ensuring content is compliant with law (e.g. copyright, GDPR and data protection)
- Manage the content budget to ensure a year-round production schedule
- Leading the Digital Content team (2 direct reports)
What are we looking for?
- An experienced Digital Content and Assets Manager with hands‑on experience in content optimisation and brand consistency.
- You will be detail-oriented, a confident communicator and a collaborative team player who is looking to work with a successful team.
- Have experience working closely with an agency partner
- Preferably have experience in line management
- Preferably be proficient in the use of ContentStack CMS
- Be familiar with Google Suite
- Be confident in Google Analytics
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management
- Have a strong understanding of SEO principles
- Have experience utilising project management tools such as Jira
- Have the ability to perform well in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficiency in budget management
- Knowledge of current content marketing trends
