New Opportunities for 2025: Join Our Installations Apprenticeship Programme
Are you interested in learning a new profession, gaining skills, and launching your career with the UK’s leading home improvement retailer?
Do you have plumbing qualifications and want to establish yourself as a Bathroom Installer through an apprenticeship?
We’re recruiting new colleagues onto our 18-month programme. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity within the trade sector, combining practical skills with mentoring support and culminating in a nationally recognized qualification (Level 2 Fitted Interiors).
Wickes works with over 2000 installers across the UK. Our apprenticeship programme can open doors to many careers in the industry and opportunities for those seeking a flexible career path, including setting up their own business.
During your apprenticeship, you will work alongside a Wickes Approved Installer, installing Wickes bathrooms in customers’ homes. This provides valuable hands-on experience in a real working environment.
The formal training will be delivered by our approved training provider and a skills college, focusing on bathroom fitting, customer service, professional behavior, and setting up your own business. WEBS, an established independent training provider, has served the furniture manufacturing sector for over 50 years.
You will have a personal training officer and support from your Line Manager to help plan your future following the apprenticeship.
To participate, you should have a genuine interest in a trade-focused career, along with energy and enthusiasm to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent practical skills and awareness of health and safety
- A ‘can-do’ attitude, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and customer focus
- A driven and determined attitude to succeed
As an apprentice, you will need to travel to customer homes, so a valid driving license and access to a vehicle are necessary.
